Because you’re worth it!
There’s something special about being a woman. And it’s something only women will understand (sorry boys!). It’s difficult to put into words but things like bubble bath, taking our time to get ready, owning a 180 pairs of shoes, eating a whole box of chocolates and crying in movies kind of help explaining it. It is probably also the reason why we a specific day (9 August 2010) – in fact, it’s turned into an entire month here at Marie Claire – dedicated to celebrating women. Marvellous!

Three words come to mind when I think of it now: Mind altering brilliant.
We spent the night sleeping on what felt like a cloud of air and woke up the next morning to good coffee (as a serious coffee-connoisseur I was delightfully impressed that the hotel has decent coffee machines installed in each room) and breakfast (which we ordered in… and enjoyed on our balcony overlooking Table Mountain).
