Malema Madness

Okay, so to get you up to speed about why Julius Malema is trending today.

• CNN’s renowned  journalist, Christiane Amanpour recently interviewed the ex-ANC Youth League President. Check this out above – quite hectic.
• The SA military has also been placed on high alert. Why? Julius Malema is expected to meet with soldiers at a base south of Johannesburg. Suspended ANCYL spokesperson Floyd Shivambu said in a statement: “The address is as a result of requests sent by the armed forces to Malema to come and listen to their cries and demands.” Since the SANDF is the final line of defence of the sovereignty of the country, the government can’t allow “anyone to play political football with this institution”, said Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula.

81-year-old model strunts down the runway at New York fashion Week 

She’s still got it! The 81-year-old model, Carmen Dell’Orefice, recently walked two runway shows at New York Fashion Week, modeling a elegantly draped dress at Norisol Ferrari and two bold, graphic-print pieces at Marimekko (above). Doesn’t she look amazing?

Kate switches it up

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have officially embarked on their royal tour, touching down on Monday in the beautiful country of Singapore. Wonder if they’re coming to SA? Kate stunned everyone when she stepped out in a printed Prabal Gurung dress for a special occasion. So out of the ordinary Kate. I’m so glad she’s stepping up her fashion game and trying new and different (more modern) things.

iPhone5 to be revealed today

Will this one be crackproof and waterproof? Tweeters are certainly hoping for that, but only time will tell. Will you be getting an iPhone 5?
