Paul the Octopus- silver screen star(fish)

We’ve all heard about the foresight of Paul the Octopus. Ridiculous or not, this squid seems to have created quite a reputation for himself as all his predictions indeed came true. Now let’s see if he makes it to the box office.

According to skynews.com, it seems Paul’s made quite an impression on everyone, including the movie industry, which seems to have attempted to cash in on Paul’s newfound fame. Yes, that’s right Paul is set to become a cinematic star(fish). “The Murder of Paul the Octopus” has already finished filming here in South Africa, and producers from the China Film Group Corporation are hoping for an August release.

Unfortunately, because of Paul’s retirement from the public eye (retirement, yes), it is not the prophet starring in the film, but a squid double.
